Al Nasr will take on Al Ahli in the UAE Beach Soccer Super Cup play-off at Al Mamzar Beach Park on November 24.

Al Nasr dethroned star-studded Al Ahli to lift the President’s Cup last month at the same venue.

Organisers Dubai Sports Council are expecting a large turn out with kick-off at 3.30pm.

Meanwhile, the second edition of the UAE Beach Soccer League will commence from December 7 at the Al Mamzar Beach Park ground. Eight teams from across the country have confirmed their participation in this round-robin, double leg competition.

Defending champions Al Ahli and Al Nasr will be put in separate groups as the teams are divided into two groups of four. The others teams in the fray are Al Shabab, Al Wasl, Ajman Club, Ittihad Kalba, Fujairah Club and Dibba Al Hosn.

Each of the teams will play each other twice, at the end of which the best two from each group will advance to the knock-out semi-finals.

The UAE Beach Soccer League will take a brief break in January to allow the UAE national team to participate in the Asian leg of the qualifiers for the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup to be held in Tahiti.

The league will then continue in February and conclude in March 2013.
