Cyclist Filippo Pozzato's Olympic spot at risk

Italian rider Filippo Pozzato says he is calm despite his Olympic spot being at risk after he was questioned by Italian anti-doping prosecutors.

Prosecutors questioned Pozzato over his alleged links to Michele Ferrari, a doctor who in 2002 was banned for life from the sport by the Italian Cycling Federation.

Last week, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency brought doping charges against Ferrari, who had served as a consultant on Lance Armstrong's winning teams.

Pozzato was confident his place at the London Games is safe after a two-hour questioning Tuesday.

He said: "I'm not the judge so we'll see what they say... I'm calm."

La Repubblica newspaper on Saturday published excerpts from Pozzato's telephone conversation, intercepted by investigators in 2009, in which the cyclists is allegedly heard talking about  working with Ferrari.

The FCI said in 2002 it would ban cyclists for up to six months if they had worked with Ferrari.
