Dr A Polo team win Nexus Valentine's Cup

Dr A Polo team defeated The Vikings 7-5 in the final of the third annual Nexus Valentine’s Cup tournament held at the Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club on Friday.

Sponsored by Nexus Insurance Brokers, the event saw a crowd of glitterati, socialites and families cheer on a cast of international and local polo stars.

Mahmoud Nodjoumi, founder and CEO of event sponsor Nexus Insurance Brokers, presented the 2012 Nexus Valentine’s Cup to the winning team, which also received prizes from Glam Rock Watches, a celebrity favourite recently launched in Dubai and available at Damas Exclusives.

“The tournament has seen two days of fantastic polo with all the players showing world-class skills in a tightly-contested match which culminated in today’s gripping final,” said Nodjoumi.    

As in previous years, the event generated awareness for Al Noor Training Centre, a non-profit organisation supported by Nexus Insurance Brokers that provides individuals with special needs, regardless of background, with professional training and care in order to realise their potential and better integrate into the wider community. Nexus Insurance Brokers provided a space to display handcrafted items created by the students as part of their training programme
