Hammadi wins third medal for UAE at Paralympics

Mohammed Hammadi completed a hat-trick of medals for UAE at the London Paralympic Games on Saturday night.

The Emirati won a bronze to add to his silver medal in the wheelchair sprint to give UAE its best ever haul at a Paralympic Games.

Hammadi clocked 16.41 seconds to finish third behind Walid Ktila of Tunisia and Rheed McCracken of Australia in the 100-metre T34 event in the London Games which ended on Saturday.

Ktila completed the sprint double in a new Games record of 15.91 while McCracken clocked 16.30.

UAE return home with a full set of gold, silver and bronze medals after Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani won shooting gold in the mixed R6-50m air rifle prone SH1 on Tuesday.
