Tickets go on sale for Dubai Rugby Sevens

Tickets for the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens go on sale from Monday, October 3, with massive crowds once again expected to converge on The Sevens Stadium for the December 1-3 tournament.
While 16 international men’s teams will battle it out for maximum points in the HSBC Sevens World Series, for the first time ever, eight international women’s teams will go head to head in the IRB Women’s Sevens Challenge Cup.
Adding to the excitement will be the 170 teams taking part in the Invitation tournament, where expertise levels vary from social to international. In addition, the Rugby Village once again promises to be a hive of fun activities for the whole family, with a dedicated kids’ area, interactive games and plenty of food and beverage outlets all on offer.
“We are looking forward to another fantastic weekend of family entertainment,” said Gary Chapman, President Emirates Group Services & dnata. “The whole country will be celebrating a significant milestone in UAE history with December 2nd marking its 40th birthday and the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens will certainly be joining in, with a special National Day parade being planned at The Sevens.”
Organisers of the tournament are urging spectators to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment and to be a part of what is consistently hailed as Dubai’s number one sporting and social event.
Entry for Day One is free of charge. Day tickets for either Friday or Saturday cost Dh230, while season tickets for both Friday and Saturday are Dh350. Children under 12 years of age gain free general admission provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
“As in previous years, we are expecting the Dubai public to snap up tickets very quickly so we’re urging everyone to get in early to avoid missing out on what is a wonderful festival of top-class international rugby action,” added Chapman.
