His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has congratulated Morocco after their victory over co-host Canada by 3-0, which took them to the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.
"Congratulations to the Atlas Lions for their victory today .. Congratulations on qualifying for the quarterfinals of the World Cup .. A strong performance .. and a fighting spirit that we rejoice in and take pride in..," Sheikh Mohammed posted on his account on the X platform.
"Congratulations to the brotherly people of Morocco and to my brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI .. and all prayers for success in their upcoming matches," he added.
Morocco will face the winners of Saturday’s round of 16 clash between Paraguay and France in the quarterfinals on July 9.
