It’s great news for Manchester United, bad news for Chelsea and terrible news for Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report published in the Daily Mirror (https://bit.ly/yOd6p9), the Croation midfielder rated at £40 million, issued a “come and get me” missive to Old Trafford.

The report states that Modric has turned his back on Chelsea – and will head to Manchester United if he moves this summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson is a big fan of the Spurs style of play this season and admires Modric.

Bringing him to United will ease the pressure on the oldies, Giggs and Scholes and give the new star, Tom Cleverley more time settle in.

The Croatian midfield star is believed to have told pals he’s glad he didn’t quit Tottenham for Chelsea last summer especially after watching the turbulence and instability at Stamford Bridge under new boss Andre Villas-Boas.

Chelsea made two bids for Modric last summer which were both turned down by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who insisted Modric stayed.
