Washington: Tiger Woods has flown back to Switzerland to continue his rehabilitation following a brief stay in the United States, with reports indicating the injured golfer is set to resume treatment.

According to Celebplanes.com, Woods’ Gulfstream V private jet departed Stuart, Florida, on Saturday night and landed in Zurich after a flight of just under nine hours.

Earlier this month, Woods was seen arriving in Florida, with photographs published on May 14 showing him disembarking at Palm Beach International Airport, located about 45 miles from his home on Jupiter Island. He had reportedly travelled from Switzerland, where he had been undergoing rehabilitation following a rollover crash near his home on March 27, which led to a misdemeanour DUI charge.

On April 1, a Florida court approved Woods’ request to travel for treatment. His legal team stated that the 50-year-old required an “intensive, highly individualised and medically integrated programme” away from public scrutiny.

Woods is believed to have briefly returned to the United States to support his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Trump described Woods as “her strength” as she deals with her diagnosis, which she announced on social media.

Sources said Woods has been focused on supporting her during this time, praising her positive outlook and resilience.

Meanwhile, Woods is reportedly undergoing intensive psychological treatment at the rehabilitation centre in Switzerland to address dependency on painkillers.

Following the March accident, Woods confirmed he would not compete in the Masters Tournament and later withdrew his name from consideration as captain of the United States team for the 2027 Ryder Cup.

The 15-time major champion, who has recorded 82 career victories, continues his recovery away from the public spotlight.
