Stalled vehicle on SZR leads to traffic snarl

The new Ramadan rush hour is seeing pockets of traffic during the late Monday commute, fuelled further by a stalled vehicle on E11.

Dubai Police confirmed via its Twitter account that traffic was building up on Sheikh Zayed Road at 9.30am, heading north, due to a ‘stalled vehicle… after Dubai Police Academy bridge’ or Interchange four.

This added to the already congested traffic jam reported an hour earlier following a crash near Safa Park, heading towards World Trade Centre, which saw gridlock stretching towards Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

Meanwhile, Al Khail Road is also slow moving this morning, with multiple crashes reported between Al Khail Gate and the Dubai Mall exit, heading towards Business Bay crossing.

Those hoping to bypass the Financial Centre Road jams, will also find gridlock on Meydan Road as well, with eyewitnesses reporting another fender bender.
