National Day car parade delights on Yas Island

Abu Dhabi’s entertainment destination, Yas Island was immersed in a sea of green, red, white and black as hundreds of cars decorated in the colours of the UAE national flag gathered to celebrate the country’s 42nd National Day. The event was organized by The Life & Style Show UAE, the largest lifestyle event in the UAE, and the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi).

Starting at du Forum cars covered 3.5 kilometres of Yas Island delighting spectators with their creativity. Unique vehicle designs included portraits and mannequins of national leaders, cars covered in jewels and plenty of other crazy accessories.

Further celebrating individual creativity, three designs have been selected to go on display at the Life & Style Show on the 5th to 7th of December. One car will also be named the ‘UAE’s Best Dressed Car’ by a panel of judges on December 5th.

Visitors can view the decorated cars at the Speed & Power event, which is one of six events running over the three-days. The show also comprises: Home & Living, Fashion & Beauty, Gizmos, Gadgets & Tech, Sport & Leisure, Toys, Hobbies & Games and over 20 fantastic free feature areas.

The Life & Style Show UAE takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 5th-7th December 2013 and is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors.
