Dubai: You’ve applied for your Emirates ID, but the clock is ticking, and you’re growing impatient. How do you find out when you’ll receive it?
Don’t worry, you can easily track your Emirates ID application status with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).
Here are the steps to do so:
- First, visit the ICP’s website (icp.gov.ae/en/services/priority-services/id-card-status) or download the UAEICP app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Log in with your UAE PASS.
- If this is the first time you are applying for an Emirates ID, enter the Application Number (PRAN), which can be found on the copy of your application form.
- If you are applying for an Emirates ID renewal or replacement, enter your Emirates ID number instead.
- The system will give you an update on the status of your Emirates ID.
How will I receive my Emirates ID?
Once your Emirates ID has been processed, it will be delivered to you via courier service, or delivered to an Emirates Post office near you - depending on your selection at the time of application. The ICP will send you an SMS notification, which will include the delivery date (if you opted for courier service) or Emirates Post office (if you opted for in-person pick-up). If you chose the latter, on the specified date, visit the post office in person and present the SMS, in order to receive your Emirates ID.
Alternatively, you can call the ICP on its hotline – 600 522222 – and provide your application number to get details on when your ID card will be delivered.
