If you're planning family outings during the Eid Al Adha break, you can look forward to late-night park access, family-only beaches, free ice cream giveaways and live entertainment across the city, as Dubai Municipality rolls out a series of initiatives aimed at making the holiday more festive and family-friendly.
The Municipality said the initiatives are part of wider preparations to provide “a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment” for residents and visitors during the holiday period.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Park timings during Eid
Dubai Municipality announced extended operating hours for several major parks and attractions during the Eid holiday:
- Quranic Park: 8am until midnight
- Dubai Frame: 8am until 9pm.
- Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Park, Al Safa Park, Creek Park and Mushrif National Park: 8am until midnight.
Free ice cream giveaways
As part of the 'Eid Gifts' initiative, Dubai Municipality will distribute complimentary ice cream to visitors during the first and second days of Eid.
The giveaways will take place from 4pm to 7pm at several locations, including:
- Al Barsha Pond Park
- Community parks
- Mushrif Park
- Zabeel Park
- Creek Park
- Al Safa Park
Family-only beaches during Eid
Dubai Municipality also announced that selected public beaches across the emirate will be designated exclusively for families during the Eid holiday.
The include:
- Jumeirah 1 beach
- Jumeirah 2 and its night beach
- Jumeirah 3 beach
- Umm Suqeim 1 and its night beach
- Umm Suqeim 2 beach
- Khor Al Mamzar beach
According to the Municipality, the initiative aims to provide safe, welcoming and enjoyable environments for families during Eid celebrations.
Live entertainment across Dubai
Dubai Frame will host live musical performances during the first and second days of Eid from 4pm to 7pm.
Meanwhile, Hatta Market will host performances by the Al Harbiya band on the second day of Eid from 4pm to 10pm, showcasing traditional performances celebrating local heritage.
Children’s City will also continue its entertainment programme during the first three days of Eid from 9am to 8pm, featuring theatrical performances, workshops, interactive activities, character appearances and family entertainment experiences.
Food safety and inspection campaigns
Apart from the festivities, Dubai Municipality said it has intensified inspection and monitoring campaigns across food establishments, malls, temporary kiosks, salons, entertainment venues and markets expected to witness high demand during Eid.
Inspection teams are focusing on food preparation practices, transportation, storage procedures and health standards, while specialised teams are also monitoring hotels, barber shops, beauty salons and shisha cafés.
The Municipality also confirmed the readiness of livestock markets and related facilities to manage increased visitor demand during the Eid season.
