Dubai Media Youth Council launches media and diplomacy capacity-building programme in collaboration with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy
Programme aims to equip Emirati youth with specialised media and diplomatic skills through expert-led training and practical workshops

Dubai: The Dubai Media Youth Council has launched the Media and Diplomacy Capacity-Building Programme in collaboration with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA), with the aim of developing the capabilities of young Emirati talent and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving media and diplomacy sectors.
Running from June 29 to July 8, 2026, the programme targets university students, graduates and individuals interested in media and diplomacy aged between 18 and 35. Hosted at the headquarters of Dubai Media and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in Abu Dhabi, the programme will feature a series of workshops, lectures and practical training sessions delivered by leading experts and specialists.
Participants will gain insights into diplomatic practice, the UAE’s foreign policy, communication and public speaking skills, media influence and soft power, effective media messaging, professional media appearances and media crisis management. The programme also aims to enhance participants’ readiness to contribute to initiatives and events related to both sectors.
Applications are open until June 21, 2026. Applicants must be UAE nationals aged 35 or below, currently enrolled in a university or holding a bachelor’s degree or higher, and proficient in both Arabic and English.

This programme provides participants with valuable exposure to specialised expertise and practical experience, helping them strengthen their communication skills, broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of regional and international affairs.”
