Dubai: Under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Interior, the Dubai Police General Command, in cooperation with the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chinese police, conducted Operation Triple Force Guardian. The operation resulted in the arrest of 276 individuals, most of whom are from Southeast Asian countries and linked to a transnational fraud network.

The operation targeted three criminal gangs operating nine sophisticated fraud centers involved in so-called “fake returns” investment schemes, as well as international cryptocurrency scams.

Dubai Police led the joint effort, and the coordinated security operation dismantled the criminal network in a single phase. The operation also led to the arrest of one of the network’s key leaders in Thailand, in coordination with the Royal Thai Police.
