Dubai Police’s Summer Student Programme 2026 starts tomorrow
Programme runs until July 30, with 1,400 students from 130 schools taking part in military training, sports, workshops and leadership activities
Dubai: Dubai Police has announced the launch of its 2026 Summer Student Programme, which begins from tomorrow - Friday, July 3, and runs until July 30.
A total of 1,400 students of different age groups, representing 31 nationalities from 130 public and private schools, will participate.
Held under the patronage of Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, this year's programme carries the theme: ‘Our Summer: Safety and Happiness... Innovation and Leadership.’
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, attended by senior Dubai Police officials and representatives from partner organisations.
Investing in students
Brigadier Nasser Humaid Al Zari, Deputy Director of the Dubai Police Academy, said Dubai Police remains committed to organising summer programmes for school students at the end of each academic year to help them make productive use of their holidays.
He said the programme aims to:
- Strengthen national identity and a sense of belonging.
- Promote respect for laws and regulations.
- Instill loyalty to the UAE's leadership.
- Equip young people with greater awareness of risks and challenges, and teach them how to respond responsibly to avoid legal or social consequences.
Al Zari added that this year's military training component will introduce new and innovative methods suited to different age groups and skill levels.
Strong partnership
Amer Al Madani, Director of Student Empowerment at Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), praised the long-standing partnership between KHDA and Dubai Police, represented by the International Hemaya Centre.
He said the summer programmes and initiatives have become a national model for developing students' skills while reinforcing Emirati values.
Building character
Brigadier Essa Ahmed Salem, Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, said developing students' personalities requires cooperation among all institutions based on scientific and educational principles to prepare a new generation capable of leading both government and private sector organisations.
He added that the General Department of Police Stations will organise field visits through the ‘Future Officer’ programme, allowing students to learn about police work and further strengthen their sense of safety and security.
12 training centres
Brigadier Dr Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Maamari, Director of the Hemaya Centre at the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, said this year’s programme will be held across 12 training centres.
Eight centres will offer comprehensive programmes featuring:
- Sports training
- Military training
- Awareness lectures
- Practical workshops
- Field visits
These will be hosted at:
- Zayed Educational Complex – Oud Al Muteena
- Zayed Educational Complex – Al Khawaneej
- Zayed Educational Complex – Al Warqa
- Zayed Educational Complex – Al Barsha North
- Zayed Educational Complex – Al Barsha South
- Asma bint Al Nu’man School
- Hatta School
The remaining five specialised programmes include:
- Diving
- Swimming
- Little Security Responder (901)
- Young Investigator
- Future Leaders
Additional programmes
Al Maamari said students will also have the opportunity to participate in supporting programmes covering:
- Horse care
- Police dog handling
- Future Leaders programme
- Jet ski operation
- Cycling
- Visits to Hatta Library
- Visits to the Smart Police Station (SPS) in Hatta

Interested students can register for the events and training programmes by visiting the website – www.hemaya.ae, and selecting the training centres they can visit.
The website provides details of which activities will take place at each centre and whether there are slots available.
