Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has reported a 20 per cent reduction in truck-related traffic incidents in 2025, reflecting the impact of its road safety and logistics sector initiatives.

In a statement, the RTA said the decline reflects the impact of RTA’s integrated efforts to strengthen road safety and develop the infrastructure and regulatory systems governing the logistics transport sector, in support of competitiveness, long-term sustainability, and the highest safety standards.

The authority noted that three targeted initiatives were implemented specifically within the truck sector, focusing on boosting safety standards and improving the efficiency of logistics transport services.

The RTA added that the logistics transport sector continues to play a central role in Dubai’s economic growth, supporting supply chain efficiency and reinforcing the emirate’s competitiveness.

Officials said the initiatives are aligned with broader efforts to ensure long-term sustainability while maintaining high safety standards across the transport network.
