In Dubai, no one gets left behind. Not even a curious cat stranded on a condenser unit.
A widely circulating video on Instagram has captured the moment a talabat rider carefully rescued a cat stuck high above the ground, earning praise online for his patience and compassion.
The rider standing on top of a ladder, patiently tries to coax the cat towards him. After petting the animal to gain its trust, he carefully lifts the cat, as other passersby help him bring it back down to safety. In seconds, the cat darts away unharmed.
Posting the sweet gesture to the tune of Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive, Instagram user @kakkarot_73, wrote “Can’t break the Dubai spirit”, adding “Kitty in distress, fortunately, a @tabalatuae rider was there to save the day.”
Community response
While the identity of the rider remains unknown, Constantin Kodsi, Director of Logistics at talabat UAE, said the incident reflected the important role riders play within the community.
“We are incredibly proud of the rider for showing such kindness and presence of mind in that moment. Riders are an important part of the communities they operate in every day, and this gesture is a powerful reminder of the empathy, care, and humanity they bring with them on the road,” he said.
