Dubai is a city that has mastered the art of convenience. Where else, in the world, can you get fuel delivered to your car, or complete your dental check-up right at home?

There are plenty of services you can access right from your couch, with a tap of a button on your smartphone. While food delivery is common, you can also get just about anything else delivered straight to your doorstep. We list a few hassle-free Dubai experiences below that may have you picking up your phone to place an order right away:

1. Fuel delivery

No matter where you are in Dubai, if you run out of petrol, you can order it via the Cafu app, and have it delivered to you within 20 minutes. The service can help you stock up on 10 litres of Super 98 petrol, so you can get to your destination immediately. Cafu even provides on-site engine oil change, battery change, tyre change and car wash.

2. Gold vending machines

Dubai is home to Gold to Go vending machines, so if you’re looking to buy 24-karat gold bars (from 1g to 250g), coins, and jewellery, you can do so without ever entering a traditional store. Located at major luxury landmarks across the city, like Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and Souk Madinat Jumeirah, these machines update gold prices every 10 minutes, based on live market rates. Unlike regular kiosks or ATMs, however, these unique machines are fully armoured, feature surveillance cameras, and require ID scanning for large purchases in order to comply with regulations.

3. Jewellery testing lab

If you already have some gold nuggets on hand, you can visit another self-service kiosk that can test the purity of your jewellery in less than a minute. Operated by the Dubai Municipality, and unveiled at GITEX Global 2025, the Smart Gold and Jewellery Testing Lab is the first of its kind in the world, and can test the purity of gold, silver and platinum. It offers laboratory-grade testing in lightning speed – just 40 to 60 seconds – as compared to the traditional testing processes that can take up to seven days. The very first unit was installed at Deira Gold Souk, and additional kiosks have been strategically rolled out across major shopping malls in the emirate.

4. At-home dental services

Hate visiting the dentist? Have them visit you, instead. Several dentistry practices around Dubai offer mobile dental clinic services, delivering oral care right to your doorstep. Whether it’s a routine check-up, cleaning, or filling, Dubai Health Authority (DHA)-approved professionals can arrive at your home in as little as 30 minutes, bringing along their state-of-the-art equipment, and even a portable dental chair. Some clinics even offer 24/7 dentist-at-home services, for late-night emergencies.

5. International visa services at home

If you need to apply for an international visa, like Schengen or UK visas, but cannot visit a visa application centre, VFS Global’s ‘Visa at your Doorstep’ service completes the entire process for you, at your home. All you have to do is visit their website to book your appointment and pay the relevant fees. Their team then visits your location at the scheduled date and time, and assists you with the full application submission process, including biometrics. Once the visa is processed, your passport is couriered to your doorstep. The entire process – from visa application to delivery – can be done without you leaving your house!

6. Pick-and-deliver services

If you are at an in-person visa appointment and have forgotten your passport at home, don’t fret. Dubai has a host of reliable and speedy pick-and-deliver services that can save you time and energy. The hassle-free service, offered by companies like DeliverIt, Fetchr, and Porter, just needs you to download their app and plug in package size, delivery location, and delivery time details. The service extends to all seven emirates, and can be used for a variety of goods, from gifts to valuable items.

7. 15-minute grocery delivery

Dubai has perfected a 15-minute delivery window for groceries, thanks to an extensive network of hyperlocal stores. Order from apps like, noon Minutes, Careem Quik, or Amazon Now – they can deliver daily essentials, like fresh produce, dairy, and pantry items, as well as personal care items and electronics, to your home within minutes. Most apps offer loyalty programmes to help you save on delivery fees, too.

8. Video game delivery

Hosting an impromptu game night? In just 30 to 40 minutes, you can have an entire gaming console, and multiple video games, delivered right to your home, via the Deliveroo app. If you’d rather enjoy a screen-free game night, browse the app’s Toys and Games section – it also offers board games, outdoor games, and all sorts of entertainment options for people of all ages.

9. Library book service

Want your kids to read more, but don’t think they’ll willingly visit a library? Get books delivered to you every month via The Kids Bookery’s Sharing Stories service. You can pay as you go or opt for a monthly service, where you will receive 6 to 18 books per month, delivered to your door step. Choose online or let the librarians surprise your kids by selecting the books, based on your child’s age group and interests.

10. Home tailoring and alterations

Need your pants altered before you head out to a business event? Several ateliers and tailoring stores in Dubai, such as Prive Atelier, Tailor Shop, and Tailor & Tweak, offer home tailoring services by experts, who arrive about an hour after you make a booking. They will check out the issue, pin garments, alter on site if needed, or take away the garment and deliver it to you at a later, agreed-upon time. Other mobile tailors, like 1996 Tailor on Wheels, and The Tailor Truck, have full-fledged tailoring facilities right inside their vehicles and will do the entire job – from quick fixes to custom suits – on the go.
