Dubai: Parking operator Parkin has announced that a VAT of 5% will be applied to all parking services in the emirate from June 1.
The updated fees will apply to all services parking including on-street and off-street parking, seasonal cards, permits, and reservations.
Phasing out cash payments
To promote a cashless parking payment system, the parking operator also announced that it would be phasing out cash payments at parking meters starting from June 1, 2026, in line with Dubai's cashless strategy.
Payment by nol card will still remain available.
