Dubai’s turning parks into offices: How freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote workers can 'Work from Park'
The first park where you will get the facility available is the Al Barsha Pond Park, which opens this month

Dubai: Imagine answering work emails sitting next to a pond or taking meetings as birds chirp and butterflies float by.
This is what remote work in Dubai can now look like, as Dubai Municipality launched a new first-of-its-kind ‘Work from Park’ initiative in April. The first park where you will get the facility available is the Al Barsha Pond Park, which opens this month, according to Dubai Municipality.
So, whether you are a freelancer, remote worker or entrepreneur, here’s how you could soon set up your office for the day shaded by flame trees and chirping birds.
What is the ‘Work from Park’ initiative?

The initiative was announced by Dubai Municipality in collaboration with Letswork, a global workspace booking platform and app, and more locations will be announced throughout the year, according to Dubai Municipality.
Remote workers will be able to book these spaces through the Letswork platform, either through their website www.letswork.io or the mobile app available for Apple and Android devices.
Some of the facilities you will be able to access at these parks will be:
- Hot desks
- Flexible outdoor workspaces
- Event spaces
- Podcast studios
- Creative production facilities
Dubai Municipality said the initiative aims to change parks into multi-functional spaces that support both recreation and productivity. The move is in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and is part of Dubai’s 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy, which aims to increase park visits to 95 million annually by 2040.
