From lost and found items to accident reports, 'On-the-Go' brings police services to gas stations
3,981 minor accident reports, 2,013 'lost and found' items recorded, and AED 367 million dirhams saved

Dubai residents can access several key Dubai Police services while stopping at petrol stations across the emirate, through the 'On-the-Go' initiative, which aims to make services faster, more accessible and reduce the need to visit police stations.
The initiative, launched in partnership with fuel companies across Dubai, allows residents to complete services such as filing minor traffic accident reports, reporting incidents against an unknown party, submitting lost-and-found requests, accessing cybercrime reporting through the E-Crime platform, and using the Police Eye service — all while on the move.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attended the inaugural forum of the initiative at the Dubai Police Officers Club, alongside senior Dubai Police officials, representatives of fuel supply companies and the Zero Bureaucracy Programme.
During the forum, officials highlighted how the initiative supports Dubai’s wider push to eliminate bureaucracy and make government services more proactive and accessible. The initiative is designed to allow customers to access police services anytime and anywhere, while also helping reduce waiting times and visits to police stations.
Captain Majid bin Saed Al Kaabi, Head of the 'On-the-Go' initiative team, said the project reflects Dubai Police’s focus on delivering innovative services that improve community happiness and reinforce safety and security.
According to Dubai Police, the initiative has already benefited 7,762 people through eight services offered in partnership with Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat).
Among the most-used services were:
- 3,981 minor traffic accident reports filed at 158 petrol stations across Dubai
- 1,375 reports against unknown parties
- 2,013 lost-and-found reports
- 296 reports submitted through the Police Eye service
- 97 cybercrime reports filed through the E-Crime platform
Dubai Police also said 23,816 individuals from various entities were trained to help assist customers using the services.
The forum included workshops on traffic laws, road safety, community volunteering and the initiative’s role in reducing bureaucracy and improving public access to police services.
Dubai Police said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to reduce physical visits to service centres and eventually transition towards visitor-free centres, while maintaining faster service delivery and smoother traffic flow across the emirate.
