His Excellency Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE, stressed that the UAE's initiative to renovate the Umayyad Mosque with the generous support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, is an inspiring initiative that embodies the civilisational message of our country, and represents a bridge of communication with modern Syria and with a common Arab and Islamic heritage and civilisation that we are proud of, and constitutes an integral part of our identity, present and future.
