Met department: UAE experiencing dust storms, to recede by evening

The dust storms and blowing sand is caused by northwesterly winds, according to the National Centre of Meteoroloy.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has stated that the country is currently experiencing dust storms and blowing sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility, caused by northwesterly winds.

In a post on its X platform on Wednesday, the NCM added that the dust storm is moving south, with a gradual decrease in density of dust and northwesterly wind activity expected during the night and tomorrow morning.
