His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has received messages of condolence from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
In his telegram, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said: "We have learned of the death of your brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, and we extend our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Your Highness and the family of the deceased. We ask God Almighty to bless him with His mercy and forgiveness, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and protect you from all harm. To God we belong and to Him we shall return."
His Highness also received a message of condolence from Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince said: "We have received the news of the death of your brother, Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, and we extend our warmest condolences and sincere sympathy to you and the family of the deceased, asking Almighty God to bless him with His mercy and forgiveness, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and protect you from all harm."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received a telegram of condolence from His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, in which he expressed his sincere condolences on the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, praying that God bless him with His mercy, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire the family of the deceased with patience and solace.
Oman
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received a message of condolence from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman.
In the telegram, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy, praying to God Almighty to bless the deceased with His mercy, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire His Highness and his family with patience and solace.
Bahrain
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received a message of condolence from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In the message, His Majesty expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, asking God Almighty to bless the deceased with His mercy and grace, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire His Highness and the entire Al Maktoum family with patience and solace.
Qatar
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received a telegram of condolence from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, in which he expressed his sincere condolences on the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, asking Almighty God to bless him with His mercy, admit him to His spacious paradise, and inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.
His Highness also received similar messages from His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Amir, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Syria
Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa also offered his condolences to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
"I extend my sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on the death of his brother, the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum," Al Sharaa said in a post on the X platform.
He added: "I pray to God to bless the deceased with His mercy and to inspire the esteemed Al Maktoum family and the brotherly Emirati people with patience and solace."
India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep sorrow over the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and extended his sincere condolences to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
In a post on the X platform, Modi said: "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His efforts in serving the community will continue to be appreciated by future generations."
Pakistan
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his deep sorrow over the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and extended his sincere condolences to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid.
He said that the deceased dedicated his life to serving Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with honour and dignity, and that Pakistan highly appreciates his services and remembers his contributions with respect and admiration.
The Pakistani prime minister prayed to God Almighty to bless the deceased with His mercy, grant him a place in His spacious paradise, and inspire his family with patience and solace in overcoming this great loss.
Sheikh of Al Azhar
His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof Dr Ahmed Al Tayeb, Sheikh of Al Azhar Al Sharif, also extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the death of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid.
