Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the implementation of 7 new development projects during the month of June, as part of its ongoing plan to develop infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of the road network in various regions of the emirate.

The objective includes improving traffic flow and raising the levels of safety and security for road users, and most notable among the projects is the addition of a traffic lane on Sheikh Zayed Road for those coming from Hessa Street towards Abu Dhabi.

The projects include the implementation of traffic improvements at the entrance to Nad Al Sheba Majlis from June 10, followed by development works at the intersection of Trade Centre Street and Marassi Drive on June 12, and the addition of a traffic lane on Sheikh Zayed Road for those coming from Hessa Street towards Abu Dhabi from June 22, as well as the implementation of traffic improvements on the Cluster Road at the intersection of Airport Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road from June 27.

In the last week of June, the Authority will inaugurate the road linking Emirates Road and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Road to serve the Villanova and Arabian Ranches 3 areas. During the same period, RTA will also open the road linking Al Qudra Street and Hessa Street between Studio City and Motor City. The work will also add a new lane on Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan Road, with the introduction of detours in both directions to enhance traffic flow.
