Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, has mourned the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, saying his memory and place in the hearts of the people of Dubai will endure.
In a post on his X account, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed said: "Today I lost a dear brother, a companion who lived in my heart and left a mark on my soul that time cannot erase. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has passed away, but the goodness of his memory, the sincerity of his affection, and his precious place will remain alive in our hearts, and in the heart of Dubai and its people."
He added: "May God have mercy on our dear departed, grant him a place in the spacious gardens of Paradise, and reward him for his love and good deeds. We ask God to strengthen our hearts and the hearts of his family, relatives and loved ones, and to inspire us all with patience and solace. Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return."
