Dubai: Three weeks ago, a young Kenyan boy named Milan sat in tears, telling his mother he wanted to go to Dubai, a place he described not as a city, but as a “planet.”

The emotional moment, shared by Kenyan content creator Maria Nyambane on Instagram, quickly resonated with millions online. But among those who watched the video was His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, who decided to turn the child’s dream into reality.

In the now-viral reel, Milan can be seen crying as he tells his mother he wants to visit Dubai. Instead of dismissing his emotions, Nyambane calmly reassures him that she will work hard to make the trip happen one day.

“Here is how we handle big feelings when we are not sure,” she wrote in the caption. “I calm down, acknowledge his feelings and assure him as well as help him regulate and cater to his needs. That’s love and care.”

The heartfelt parenting moment struck a chord online, including with Sheikh Hamdan, who reposted the video on his Instagram stories with a simple message: “It will make me very happy to see you in Dubai, hopefully very soon.”

Now, finally, the boy's wish has come true.

The video also captured the family interacting with penguins, swimming with dolphins, taking a hot air balloon ride and enjoying every moment of the trip.

“Finally, our dream came true,” Nyambane says in the clip.

The video ends with Milan, thanking Sheikh Hamdan for making his dream come true: “Thank you Dubai. Thank you Sheikh Hamdan.”
