His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has inaugurated Al Sheraa, the new headquarters of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in Al Jaddaf, the tallest, largest and smartest energy positive government building in the world.
In a post on his account on the X platform, His Highness said: "We have inaugurated the Al Sheraa building, the new headquarters of DEWA in Al Jaddaf. The tallest, largest and smartest energy positive government building in the world...110,000 smart sensors, more than 1,500 wireless access points, and 3,200 networked devices to produce more than 1.9 million automated control commands per day with an electricity production capacity of 5 MW distributed between two main PV panels."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added: "A global architectural icon that embodies Dubai's leadership in innovation and sustainability... An inspiring model of sustainability, energy efficiency, and the use of technology to serve humanity."
