Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the UAE, stressed that his country's relations with the UAE are witnessing a qualitative and accelerated transformation, driven by a common vision of the two countries' leaderships.

While speaking to Al Bayan, the Ambassador pointed out that the visit of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, to the UAE is historic, which is his eighth visit to the UAE over the years, reflects the depth of the strategic partnership between the two sides.

The Indian ambassador said that the UAE is currently India's third-largest trading partner and the second-largest destination for its exports.

It has become the fourth largest investor in the Indian market, in light of the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries reaching about 100 billion US dollars.

He explained that the vision of the two countries' leaderships represents the main engine of prosperous bilateral relations, pointing out that the memorandums of understanding and agreements signed during the past years have contributed to expanding the areas of cooperation within the framework of the comprehensive economic and strategic partnership, which has enhanced the movement of trade and investment and opened wider horizons for future cooperation.

He added that the two countries have a strong partnership in the field of energy security, along with making tangible progress in new sectors, including renewable energy, health, food security, science and technology, education, fintech, and defense and security.

He stressed that the comprehensive strategic partnership has become an international model of relations based on a common vision, mutual trust, and working for the future, pointing out that this relationship has transcended the boundaries of geography to become a partnership based on the integration of interests and unity of goals.

Dr. Mittal said that his country has strong relations with the UAE based on confidence in the future, reliance on innovation and entrepreneurship, and investment in human capital, pointing out that India has become the fourth-largest economy in the world and among the fastest-growing economies, with clear indications that it will move to third place globally before the end of the current decade.

He added that Narendra Modi's visit represents an important milestone to highlight one of the most successful and sustainable international partnerships, explaining that the UAE-India relations have gone beyond the traditional framework of bilateral relations to become an advanced model of strategic cooperation based on mutual interests, mutual respect, and a shared vision for the future.

He pointed out that the advanced level of bilateral relations reflects the strength of the ties between the two countries' leaderships, which was embodied in the mutual official visits and continuous communication between the two sides.

This contributed to expanding the scope of cooperation to include trade, energy, infrastructure, education, and communication, in addition to advanced strategic areas such as space, defense, peaceful nuclear energy, green technologies, biometals, and cooperation in the polar regions.

He stressed that the partnership between the two countries continues to consolidate its position as a model of constructive cooperation capable of contributing to achieving development, stability, and prosperity at the regional and international levels.
