UAE announces holiday for Prophet's Birthday

According to the announcement, employees in both the federal government and private sector will receive the day off to mark the occasion.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Government Media Office has announced that Friday, August 28, 2026, will be an official holiday for federal government entities and private sector establishments on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Official working hours will resume on Monday, August 31, following the weekend.
