Dubai: If you’ve got outdoor plans over the next few days, you may want to prepare for dusty conditions and reduced visibility at times, especially in open areas and in the internal parts of the country. After a relatively calm start to the week, dusty and windy conditions are set to make a comeback, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The weather today is forecast to remain fair in general, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds, expected to reach up to 30 km/h across coastal and internal areas, while mountain regions could see wind speeds of up to 35 km/h.

While conditions today will remain mostly stable, the Met office said winds will begin strengthening from Thursday, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h and causing blowing dust, particularly over northern and eastern areas of the country. Sea conditions might become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf by the afternoon.

These conditions are forecast to continue into Friday, with fresh northwesterly to southwesterly winds once again stirring dust across several regions. The Arabian Gulf will remain rough during the daytime before becoming calm later in the evening.

By Saturday, the temperature is expected to rise slightly, although weather conditions will remain fair overall. By Sunday morning, low clouds are might appear over the eastern coast, while dusty conditions could once again develop westward as winds strengthen to around 40 km/h.
