Dubai: The week is starting with warm, humid weather and a chance of fog overnight and tomorrow morning.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), today’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with clouds appearing over the eastern coast by this afternoon.
The relative humidity (RH) is peaking at 90% along coastal and internal regions by night. According to the NCM, there is a high probability of fog or mist spreading across cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai tonight and tomorrow morning. If you’re heading to work early tomorrow, drive cautiously, as fog may impact horizontal visibility.
Temperatures in the mid-40s
Temperatures are climbing into the mid-40s across the UAE today.
According to the NCM, coastal and island regions will experience highs between 37°C and 42°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 43°C to 48°C today.
Abu Dhabi will reach 44°C today, while Dubai and Sharjah will peak at 43°C. Ajman will experience 42°C temperatures, while Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah will be slightly cooler at 39°C. Fujairah remains the coolest emirate today, at 35°C.
Moderate sea conditions
The NCM forecasts light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 30km/h.
This weekend, the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm. The NCM forecasts slight conditions in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate conditions in the Sea of Oman, with wave heights expected to reach up to two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore.
