Dubai: Summer is slowly giving way to cooler months in the UAE. Temperatures continue to fall slightly today, as rain showers continue in certain regions of the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a chance of some convective cloud formation eastward and westward by afternoon, which may be associated with rainfall in regions like Fujairah and Kalba.
Temperatures in the mid-30s
Humidity is still high across the UAE today, with a maximum range of 70% to 90% in coastal and island areas. It is set to build up by tonight and Thursday morning, with a probability of fog or mist formation in cities like Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
However, temperatures are gradually reducing to the mid-30s.
Abu Dhabi will reach 39°C today, while Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah will peak at 38°C. Umm Al Quwain will reach 37°C, Ajman 36°C, and Fujairah will remain the coolest emirate today at 35°C.
Calm seas today
Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of 40km/h in internal areas, are expected to cause blowing dust in open areas.
The NCM expects slight sea conditions along both eastern and western coasts, with gentle waves rising to two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
