Dubai: The weather today is forecast to be relatively calm and pleasant across the UAE, with light winds and partly cloudy skies offering a break from the dusty conditions seen over the past few days.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will remain fair to partly cloudy at times, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds reaching up to 30 km/h. Humid conditions are also expected by night and into Wednesday morning, especially over coastal areas, where there is a chance of mist formation.
In Dubai and Abu Dhabi, temperatures are forecast to reach 37°C, while internal areas such as Al Ain and Liwa could climb to 40°C and 41°C respectively. Mountain regions will remain cooler, with highs between 26°C and 34°C.
The sea conditions today are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, making for relatively stable marine conditions.
Windy conditions forecast for the next few days
From tomorrow, wind speeds are expected to pick up, reaching up to 35 km/h, although conditions will remain fair overall.
But over the next two days – Thursday and Friday – the dusty conditions are expected to return, as wind speeds reach 40 km/h, causing blowing dust, particularly over northern and eastern areas. The Arabian Gulf is also expected to turn rough at times during this period.
