As peak UAE summer moves in, there is some lowering in temperatures forecast for today, especially in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain. However, be prepared for dusty conditions, as fresh winds are expected to pick up across parts of the country.

The weather today will be fair in general, with a slight drop in temperatures and light to moderate winds becoming fresh at times, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Winds are expected to cause blowing dust, especially in northern and eastern areas of the country.

The NCM said temperatures across coastal areas and over the islands will range between 33°C and 39°C, while internal areas could see highs between 38°C and 43°C. It’s still not a bad idea to go for a drive to the mountains, as it will remain relatively cooler there, with temperatures between 28°C and 34°C.

Winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h on Friday. Sea conditions will also become rough at times by the afternoon, especially in the Arabian Gulf.

In the coming days, the temperatures are expected to see a slight rise on Saturday before another drop expected on Sunday, especially on the eastern coast, according to the NCM.
