Dubai: Residents can expect a hot day across the UAE today, with temperatures forecast to climb to 47°C in inland areas.
The weather will be fair in general, with some low clouds appearing over eastern regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally freshening during the day and reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are reaching peak temperatures of 41°C and 43°C respectively, while Al Ain will experience the warmest weather today, with a high of 46°C.
Humidity on the rise
The NCM has forecast humid conditions overnight and into tomorrow morning, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist along some coastal stretches. If you’re commuting in the early hours of Tuesday, remain cautious and drive safely, as visibility may be reduced in some areas of the country.
Rough afternoon seas
It’s best to avoid a beach visit, later this evening. Slight to moderate winds over both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea will keep waves at a gentle height of one to two feet, however, sea conditions are expected to change by the afternoon, with rough waves causing wave heights to increase to six feet in the Arabian Sea.
