Dubai: Temperatures are gradually rising today across the UAE, but there’s good news too – humidity is on the decline.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times, and reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.

Hot weather, but ease in humidity

Temperatures are in the mid-40s across the UAE today.

Coastal and island regions will experience highs between 39°C and 44°C, while internal regions will be warmer, at 43°C to 47°C.

Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain will reach 43°C today, while Dubai will peak at 41°C. Ajman will reach a high of 40°C, while Fujairah will remain relatively cooler at 33°C.

The relative humidity (RH) is peaking at 75% in coastal areas and 70% in internal areas, according to the NCM.

Calm sea conditions

Expect calm sea conditions, both in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, today. The NCM forecasts slight sea conditions, so you can expect gentle waves reaching heights of two feet on-shore and up to three feet off-shore.
