China launches operation to free pandas into wild

CHINA, Chengdu: China released six young captive pandas into semi-wild enclosures as part of a project aimed at helping the endangered bears adapt to the wild and eventually go free. Images of pandas in their new enclosure, followed by government officials and NBA basketball player Yao Ming of China as they unveil the new 'Panda Valley' research centre.
