Jealous wife bites off finger of husband's mistress

The woman had reportedly just found out her husband was cheating on her when the pair ran into each other while shopping in Naples.

Horrified bystanders try and break up the scuffle but the women continue scratching one another and pulling at each other’s hair.

When the mistress manages to escape, the jealous wife gives chase and pins her up against a wall before allegedly biting her finger off.

Police were called to the scene and the injured woman was rushed to hospital.

It's not known whether doctors were able to reattach her severed finger.
