FRANCE, Paris: It's one of the most famous monuments in the world, but the Eiffel Tower had a troubled early history - designed to be pulled down and almost universally hated by city residents when it was first put up 120 years ago. Now a new exhibition on the first floor of the Tower itself showcases photos and other documents from the early days of France's most iconic structure.
