The world reacts to the death of singer Whitney Houston.

Taiwanese singer Lin Yu-chun pays tribute to the vocal powerhouse with his rendition of "I will always love you."

"I imagined one day to really see her in person and sing this song with her, if she was alive there would be hope, but now this wish will never come true."

The pop star, who for the past decade struggled with drug and alcohol abuse, died in a Beverly Hills hotel Saturday on the eve of the Grammys.

In Sydney, the news is greeted with grief as Australians remember her early successes.

"Just real sadness, dismay and I guess a bit of grief because, you know at the same time you learn a bit more about her and you learn the, I guess the poisons that were in her life."

"I mean if you remember seeing her in the Body Guard, she was just sensational and so young and what a voice. Absolutely unbelievable. A terrible pity."

The soundtrack for the Bodyguard starring Houston and Kevin Costner was one of the best-selling movie soundtracks.

Houston won six Grammy's and more than 400 other awards before her death at the age of 48.
