Two editors have a fight on air at MBC

Two editors at the Saudi-owned Middle East Broadcasting Company (MBC) television fought on air while the broadcaster was reading the news bulletin.

A 35-second U-Tube film published in regional newspapers showed the announcer was reading the Arabic language news bulletin when one editor in the background rushed towards another and threw papers at him.

The act drew an angry reaction from the other editor, who stood up and tried to hit the assailant before other staff members intervened.

The film, carried by the Kuwaiti daily Alanba, showed the announcer stopped reading to burst into laughter at the quarrel.
