Google's robot dog gets beaten up

Feel for Spot – Google’s creepy robot dog who gets a kicking from a bunch of nerds in this bizarre new video.

The four-legged piece of technology has been developed by Boston Dynamics, which the search engine giant bought in 2013.

Spot strolls through the office unmanned and bounds across hills before climbing a steep flight of stairs.

Then, in more disturbing scenes, developers violently kick the bot in a bid to knock it over. But it gets back up each time in a surprisingly human fashion.

What Boston Dynamic’s fleet of robots will be used for is largely unknown. But similar devices have previously been demonstrated as pack mules in the military.
