Lion starved by cruel owners to keep him small

A young circus lion was starved by its owners to make sure it stayed small and cute for selfies with visitors.

Spanish officials have now taken the lion, known as Magnus, into care after the sad discovery.

Magnus was being kept on a liquid-only diet but should have transferred to solid foods at least two months ago.

The circus was charging visitors 20 Euros (£15) to have photographs taken with the young lion.
