Saudi posts 'help-me' video after shop fire

A Saudi man who cannot read or write resorted to YouTube asking for help after his shop and car were destroyed in an accident, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The man, identified as Abdullah, addressed King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia in the video, saying he could no longer support his family after his sole source of living was destroyed.

The YouTube film showed two of the man’s children were with him as he explained his “extremely difficult conditions,” the paper said.

He said he has a dumb daughter who needs to be taken regularly to hospital.
