A little Saudi school went on camera to appeal for the Gulf Kingdom’s Education Minister Azzam Al Dakheel to transfer his mother from her remote school, saying he only sees her once a year.
The boy said his mother teaches at a government school in the Southern Tathlith province and that he lives in the capital Riyadh, nearly 1,000 km away.
“I see my mother only once a year. I can’t pay attention to my lessons because of this. I hope you will transfer her to a school in Riyadh so she will be close to me,” the boy said in a one-minute YouTube film published by Ajel newspaper, which said the film went viral on social networks in the oil-rich Gulf Kingdom.
