Video: Ostrich on Kuwaiti streets

Drivers in Kuwait were caught off-guard when they came face to face with an ostrich wandering in the streets in the early hours of the morning.

A brief YouTube film published by the 'Al Anba' daily showed the giant bird trotted slowly on the left side of the road in the capital Kuwait City, undisturbed by the long line of cars on the road during the rush morning hours.

The ostrich then crossed over to the other side, forcing the cars to stop.

Al Anba said police rushed to the area but the bird was already caught and taken home by its Kuwaiti owner.
