Well blows out air during day…sucks it in at night

A deserted well in Saudi Arabia was found to be blowing air out during the day and sucking it in at night.

Viewers who saw a film of the well said it could be haunted.

The YouTube film published in the Saudi daily ‘Ajel’ showed residents of the area tested the well near the northwestern town of Hail and found that it sends a strong outward current during the day before it changes direction and becomes inward after mid night.

The film showed the men splashed water and earth on top of the well but they were blown away from the well’s mouth.

Another man tried a tissue tied to a stick and got the same result. The men said they returned after mid night and found that the current reversed direction and that earth they used was sucked into the well.

“Some of those who viewed the film said they believe the well was dug by jinn (spirits) because its opening is too narrow and small to be dug by man,” the paper said.

“Others said they believe the current is caused by a water stream inside the well but they did not explain the change in the direction of the current at night.”
