New Delhi summons Iranian deputy ambassador over killing of Indian seafarer

NEW ​DELHI: ​India has summoned ⁠Iran's deputy ambassador over ‌the killing ‌of an ‌Indian ‌seafarer ‌in the Strait ​of ‌Hormuz, ​an ⁠Indian ​government ⁠official said ⁠on ⁠Tuesday.

Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) had confirmed that the Iranian attack resulted in the death of one Indian national and injuries to six other Indians and two Ukrainian nationals. Four of the injures are in a serious condition, according to the statement.
