South Korea seeks Iran’s response over cargo ship attack near Hormuz
Seoul raises concerns in diplomatic call as suspicion falls on Tehran over maritime incident
Seoul: South Korea’s Foreign Minister, Cho Hyun, has asked for Iran’s position on a recent attack on a South Korean cargo vessel near the Strait of Hormuz during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart on Sunday, Seoul’s foreign ministry said.
A South Korean official had previously stated that the likelihood of an entity other than Iran being responsible for the attack was low.
